these riots barely got any publicity in the media, its
disgusting. This is outside of the Republican National
Convention, after supposed 'anarchists' cause trouble,
so the military police come out and leave a bootprint
up the publics ass.

any police officer NOT wearing a name tag and
identification number should be considered a terrorist
and an enemy combatant, and should be captured for
'questioning' and eventual personell trade.
sloppyjosef

this EXACT same thing happened durring FTO talks in the
90's, causing the police to shut down a 15block radius
around the convention as a "No Free Speach Zone",
suspending the constitutional rights of protestors by
declaring Martial Law.

anyone with a sign, button, banner, gas mask and/or
video camera was subject to harrasment, property
seizure, and detainment. Clouds of Tear Gas were seen
rolling over the towns drinking water supply, and many
protestors were beaten and arrested before givin the
chance to comply.

Hightly Agreed. and this is just another step toward
the total control of people by government.

these ppl are being punished because a small percentage
of protestors were acting out, and the plice were told
to stand by till enough property damage was done to be
able to declare martial law. If you ask me jpn this
makes the police just asguilty. No badge number+ no
name = not a cop!

anytime the police can put on uniforms that allow them
to cause harm to civilians and not be identified
individualy, its wrong. I believe that about protestors
in masks aswell, but especially Public Servants. These
officers should be held accountable, even.. no, in
particular, at political functions and any other
protests.

Giving any politician access to a faceless, armed
street military power is irresponsible on our part.
Police should represent the people first, politicians
second. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b17_1220624078
these arent police, they are storm troopers.
silly_pilly

Again, you must be a moron. The police were there
because some of the protester groups had made threats
of violence before the rnc. Get it? They were not there
because some politician "had access" to the police.

personally there should have been more arrests for
destruction of private property. If you worked hard and
some thugs trashed your store you would be pretty
upset. Instead you are a typical liberal bitch who
never sees the wrong your side does.
sloppyjosef

if you break the law, you should be punished. Even if
you are a police officer. Anyone destroying personal
property should be swiftly dealt with. But I don't
think that gives the police the right to assault the
peacefull protestors.
sloppyjosef

If anything, the police should be protecting the good
protestors from the bad. Instead, as ussual, they push
their authority to the limit and declare anybody they
see out as a criminal.
sloppyjosef

Police should be held responsible for their actions,
not just the protestors pracitcing their constitutional
right to peacably assemble. ARREST THE CRIMINALS! Ppl

There were protests @ the DNC aswell, but the Denver
police wear ID numbers on their helmets.. and are alot
less 'liberal' w/ the pepper spray and arrests. Why
should the protestors be held personably resposible,
but the police be allowed to violate the constitution?

You are a liberal douche. First you cry about the

a politicians personal army) when it is a FACT some
groups of protesters promised violence. even your
liberal douche cnn reported that.

Second the police in denver did not have to use force
becuase the protesters were peaceful and did not
promise violence. Can you see the fucking difference?
third you jumped on the liberal band wagon without

simple brain to choose your side.

fourth you are not defending the constituion. If the
protesters were peaceful then no one would have gotr
hurt. Have you ever been in a protest like this? The
bad protesaters easily mingle with the good protesters
and unfortunately some got in the mix. Bottom lione the
protesters that were destroying property, etc should
have gotten their heads bashed in

our right to PEACEFULLY protest, not the other way

the ppl protest the WTO, and the RNC! Thats why we have
