[/quote] exactly. you only see these features on old bldgs. every bldg we work on (you remember we only do schools) every opening, doors, windows, hatches etc etc are all fire rated. most are 1 hour rated. where there are handicap people the rating will be higher. it can become very expensive. if you are suggesting every so many meters there should be a fire rated door in the corridor?
