It makes sense, just walking into an emergency room
will cost you $600. Then you will have to wait half the
night for someone to take your blood pressure.

The person who described this video on the front page
should watch this video again because he/she is an
idiot. Although I'm democratic this is a really good
idea. As long as the doctor and pharmacist are well
trained this method can save time, which may result in
saved lives.

Yes lets have a 150 person queue in walmart with all

people..ah fuck it ppl that shop in walmart can die...
hopefully these 2 f aggots that posted above me will

First of all dumb ass were talking about America, we
don't have socialized medical care, so you'll never see
a 150 person "queue" in a hospital unless Obama gets
into office and the government takes over health care.
Secondly the pharmacy is already there idiot. Finally
this is America, we don't fuck our uncles like you do
wherever you're from.

Socialized healthcare works in many countries around
the world. Yes there are some problems, but it DOES
work. In the U.S on the other hand, while most people
have excellent care, there are still MILLIONS of
citizens without any coverage at all. That's not an
opinion, it's an unfortunate fact
InsaneAccident

No one disputes this, but you fix the problem for the
Millions who do not have care, you do not destroy the
entire system. We have the best health care system in
the world in terms of scientific advancemnet and
qualified professionals. If you socialize it there will
be no incentives to be the best, and the professionals
will simply leave the field. continued....

Here is what will eventually happen:

UK - this is on the hospital website

This is from the link to the UK hospital:
"From a patient's point of view, 18 weeks is a fairer
and more inclusive target, .......
It is about the right care, at the right time, of the
right quality, without unnecessary delay. As much as
being about speed, it is about quality, equality,
efficiency and customer service."

only problem is, it's a work of fiction. and even if it
were true, your argument appears to be that's it's ok
to not treat poor people if the countrys that do treat
poor people are less than perfect.:?

First I didn't make up the links above, that is not
fiction. The link to Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals is from
their own website.

the real point though is, even if it was all true,
saying "our health service is fine, because people die
of tonsilitis in papua new guinea", does not make
our/your health service good.

Second, Second You misunderstand what I said. Look at
my post above, I said "you fix the problem for the
Millions who do not have care, you do not destroy the
entire system."

BTW it is also wrong to say that the uninsured do not
have access to health care. You can walk into any
hospital and receive care for life threatening illness,
as well as get assistance through Social Services and
Medicaid. There are also numerous other resources that
can help.

As to it being from a Canadian woman's blog, there are
numerous sources that cite this fact. Here is one from
a news site. Read the comments from the people who live
with this.

"Americans without health insurance coverage at some
time during 2007 totaled about 15.3% of the population,
or 45.7 million people.[5] Health insurance costs are
rising faster than wages or inflation, and "medical
causes" were cited by about half of bankruptcy filers
in the United States in 2001.[7]" a guatemalen

Sorry, I have to go, but I do welcome the civilized
debate. In parting though, I do understand your
arguments, but I also believe there has to be a way of
providing health care to the uninsured without
destroying the free market system that leads to so much
advancement.
