The whole point is, black people were not the only race to be degraded and abused, EVERY race has had there hardships. The hip hop subculture iritates me, but it isn't a race issue at all. It's the whole Ebonics thing. There really is a dialect of English that has developed, and I just don't see the point. I interviewed a guy for a job as a delivery driver when I managed a Domino's, and I just couldn't hire him. I had a Mauritanian guy, fresh of the fucking boat, who spoke better English than this guy did. This is sort of off-topic, something that I see happening: Statistically, the smarter someone is the fewer children they will have, at least in most western countries. This would seem to suggest that the next stage of human evolution is going to be a big step back. Adding to the "stupiding" of the human race is that as technology progresses, it takes less and less higher brain function to get by. It seems that intelligence is no longer a survival trait. I thought about it, though, and I think that eventually mankind will see the developement of subspecies. Smart people are still having kids, and usually with other smart people. So I think you'll see a stratification of humanity based on intelligence. You'll have the people who design and invent things, the caftsmen and people who build things designed by the first group, and then the folks who wear paper hats and make french fries for the first two groups.

I wouldn't say all Rap is poetry in motion maybe about 18% of it. It dosen't take alot of talent to make a rap song , well scratch that its hard not to do the same song as someone else. But there isn't to much to say that hasen't already been said.

[/quote] I have these two friends that are aspiring rappers. They're brothers, and they're Dominican. I go to the studio with them a lot, and I've played guitar and bass on some tracks for them. They're involved in the whole process of making those tracks, and it isn't something that just anybody can do. Personally, I have to admit their music isn't really my thing; the best part of it is... me, actually. ;) But the lyrics they write are really good. I've actually talked them into letting me arrange one of their songs for my band, as kind of a cover/remake sort of thing. The subjedts they deal with are universal enough that i9t works well (my band is sort of rock/blues with a bit of a country twang to it).
