he died cos a.. uhhmm... i dunno how you say it in english:P but he was killed becuase he was stong by a flat fish.. you know.. the ones who decend from sharks.. and they have a poisonus sting... prolly got stung while holding it or while walking or swimming.... to bad though.. but we should always remember him for his enthousiasm and his spirit... at least thats what he wanted to be remembered of..:(

okay! a stingray, those are indeed fucking venomous. I never acspected him to work with real wild animals. I mean the snakes he handled in his show where all captive ones, cold from a coolbox, not dangerous. Sux for him and his wife, they have a small kid. thnx mike btw you could have said in dutch too (beer)

i saw him on t.v. when he was a kid and was circling around to observe London and after that he draws the city in all details there were . This man had a photogenic brain. R.I.P.

Irwin wasn't killed by the venom of the stingray - he was killed by the barb on the end of its tail - it would have been like being stabbed in the chest with a knife. The wound would be 20 centimetres long - thats what fucked him and not the venom. I know one thing..... there are a lot of pissed off crocs out there- theyve been trying to nail that bloke for years...

But a 100+ years ago, this man would have been very valuable for an army, as a spy, on that you are right. But an artists like him is not suited for high-tech-armies.

But an artists like him is not suited for high-tech-armies.[/quote] If you think modren armies relay only on high tech equipment then your wrong. why would one use a spy then? and for the troops on ground that do not have satelite access what shall they do? you prepare for war alot but at the time of battle you only use few of your properations where most of them hve no purpose to be used. war puts you in difficult setutions. so what will happen to soliders that lost all there gadgets? die? nope they use there ntural skills. example: Hezbollah and israel :P
