They merely serve as good PR marketing tools. It's the masses whom sign up for repeated 'tests' on the e-meters, which is where they get their money from. Funny how (not really funny, kind of sick) how all these morons get into this shit when there is a new celeb. that gets into it and gives it a little puplicity. I recently read a book by Graham Greene called The power and the glory. In this book, the main character priest was doing 'religious services' for people. You know... baptisms, masses and confessions in return for money. It was quite an insight into how the Christian church gets it's funding, as well as how subservient and ready, people are to give up the remainder of their money (Even if it means they must starve for a while) in order to have such services. Good book though, I enjoyed it.

Rougie, learn to comprihend the difference between roman catholicism and christianity, two VERY different religions. Now the Bible says there will be a great falling away, if the bible is true then MANY will fall away from Jesus and join islam, hinduism, mormons etc. These people are not sukers, they simply crave something spiritual like ALL people. Everyone has a GOD, it may be God, money, cars, women etc but we all have one. those of u who believe in no God at all are worse than scientologists. No doubt about that. But it's mostly in countries, formerly known as the Third World. Most of those people live in poverty though. They will not make any difference in this world. So I don't mind. Christianity has always been larger, and will keep on doing so. I'm not saying that is a good thing. All religions are crap anyway. But I prefer an enlightened form of Christianity, with humanistic influences above a religion, that excludes every dissenting thought, like Islam.
